The four-star Légère Premium Hotel Luxembourg opened at the end of May 2010 in Munsbach, only a few minutes from Luxembourg. The exclusive lifestyle hotel offers 135 standard rooms and 21 suites – all characterised by a clean, high-quality and functional design. The task for RKW was to develop a new hotel concept within a predetermined volume and loadbearing structure. The ground floor was redesigned with a reception, lounge, restaurant and wellness area, with a newly defined room layout and four different room types. The hotel consists of a basement and four above-ground storeys, with the 3rd storey being only partially roofed.  The arriving guests walk into the entrance hall, which leads to the bar and restaurant on the right or the wellness zone and the conference area with its own foyer in the left wing of the building. The guests experience a consistent design from the reception and bar right to their rooms – where the highlight is special Sefar glazing incorporating a copper textile that separates the open bathroom area from the rest of the room. This striking effect is complemented by internal finishings with harmonious elements of walnut, white-painted cubes and leather lounge furniture.
