The Fasanenhof-Ost business park in Stuttgart-Möhringen is the site of a new administrative complex for EnBW Energie-Baden-Württemberg AG. The 35,000 m2 site accommodates three six-storey office wings, a seven-storey forum and a 16-floor tower building for some 2,000 employees. The modern, functional and energy-efficient design puts the name of EnBW as a striking landmark on the city's skyline. The creative language of the design picks up on key themes such as clarity, objectivity and transparency and gives them poetic expression in the multi-layered structure of the high-rise facade. As the day progresses, the appearance of the building changes with the variations in the stain¬less steel fabric surface, and the energy becomes almost tangible. by using cutting-edge sustainable technologies such as concrete core cooling and geothermal energy in combination with dome lights, window shading, ventilation and cooling, the project sets out to undercut the strict requirements of the German Energy conservation Regulations by a significant amount. The aim is to achieve a 54% reduction in primary energy consumption by EnBW city compared to other office buildings. its innovative working environments, its highclass grounds and its versatility of use make EnBW city a central instrument of a high-performance business culture.
